From potential to self-sufficiency.

A navigator program for Palestinian youth in the West Bank and Gaza. We walk with each learner to their first sustained remote income — and stay until it holds.

The problem

Households have lost their earners.

Since October 2023, Palestinian households have lost roughly 500,000 jobs. Each working adult now supports 4.3 non-working dependents. Poverty is projected at 74%. Meanwhile, young Palestinians remain educated, ready, and unable to reach the global remote economy.

Existing programs — TAP, Manara, Gaza Sky Geeks — serve around 2,500 learners per year.

The stuck population is 150,000 to 250,000.

That gap is the largest addressable one in Palestinian youth employment. No current program targets it at scale.

Reach vs. need
ServedStuck

The remote-work economy is hiring. Palestinian youth are ready. The missing layer is navigation and accountability.
Our model

A layer, not a program.

We own the outcome, not the activity.

Coordinator-led

One coordinator owns every learner's outcome. Weekly 1:1s. Intervention within 48 hours.

Peer-powered

Pods led by recent alumni who just crossed the milestone. Accountability from peers.

Nine-month horizon

We stay engaged past graduation. Success measured at month 6 of earning.

The program

Four foundations. One specialization.

Every learner builds four foundation capabilities. In week nine, each picks one vocational track based on aptitude and verified employer demand.

The four foundations All learners · weeks 1–8
Stream 01

Professional English

The English of remote work: emails, Slack, interviews, LinkedIn.

Skills built
  • Emails and Slack that read professional
  • Interview answers under pressure
  • Written CV and LinkedIn copy
Stream 02

Digital operating fluency

How to actually work inside a distributed team.

Skills built
  • Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Loom
  • Async communication norms
  • Time-zone and calendar handling
Stream 03

Self-marketing and job search

How to actually get hired. Works for the next role too.

Skills built
  • LinkedIn and Upwork that recruiters read
  • Cold outreach and warm follow-up
  • Interview practice and negotiation
Stream 04

Payment infrastructure

Getting paid as a Palestinian. Silent killer if skipped.

Skills built
  • Payoneer and Wise verification
  • Contractor vs. employee terms
  • Invoicing and FX basics
The two specialization tracks Learner picks one · weeks 9–16
Track A

Customer support and operations for SaaS

Widest steady demand. English-heavy, degree-optional.

Wage floor $400–650 / month entry
Ceiling in 18 mo $1,000–2,000 / month
Why we chose it
Lowest bar to entry, most volume in the market, least volatile of the options. This is the safe path.
Track B

Arabic content operations for global platforms

Native Arabic becomes an asset. TikTok, Meta, OpenAI contractors pay well for it.

Wage floor $500–900 / month entry
Ceiling in 18 mo $1,300–2,500 / month
Why we chose it
Higher wage floor, less crowded, dignifying. Learners get paid for cultural knowledge, not for being cheap labor.
Why two tracks, not one
A single-track program is fragile. If the market for that role shifts, the whole cohort suffers. Two tracks mean the program keeps working even when one segment tightens. Later phases add more tracks (sales development, junior bookkeeping, community management) as employer partnerships grow.
What we don't do

Every program that tries to do everything ends up doing nothing well.

Yaqin defines its lane deliberately.

01 Build our own curriculum +

The learning content already exists and is free. Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, freeCodeCamp, HubSpot Academy — hundreds of hours of quality material. Building our own duplicates what others do well.

We curate. The human layer around the content is our value, not the content itself.
02 Compete with TAP, Manara, or Gaza Sky Geeks +

Those programs do important work at the top of the funnel. Adding another program at the same level fragments effort in a small ecosystem.

We serve the missing middle. Applicants they cannot yet accept, and graduates whose first roles risk failing without follow-through.
03 Run coding, design, or engineering bootcamps +

These tracks need twelve to twenty-four months to produce genuinely hireable graduates, and they need portfolio-heavy pedagogy that a navigator model does not deliver at MVP scale.

Nine months is enough for customer support and content operations. It is not enough for React or UX. We do not overpromise.
04 Serve absolute beginners +

Below A2 English or with no digital literacy, nine months is not enough runway to reach sustained income. Enrolling them would set them up to fail.

We redirect to AMIDEAST, British Council, or Access Microscholarship, and welcome them back six months later.
And we do not count graduation as success. Placement at week sixteen means little if half those placements collapse by month four. The number we measure is sustained income at month six. Everything before that is a leading indicator.

How joining works

Getting started takes 30 seconds.

We know long forms lose people. So we start small.

A name and a WhatsApp number is all we ask up front. Then you meet the community. Then, when you are ready, the deeper form. Every step gives you something before it asks for anything.

Frequently asked

Questions we get.

What does Yaqin mean?

Yaqin (يقين) is the Arabic word for certainty. Not hope. Not wish. The conviction that the path leads somewhere real. It reflects what the program promises the learner: the outcome is not left to chance.

Is Yaqin free for learners?

Yes. The pilot cohort is fully donor-funded. Selected learners pay nothing and, where needed, receive transport and connectivity stipends.

How is Yaqin different from TAP, Manara, or Gaza Sky Geeks?

We do not compete with them. Those programs train and place; we handle the layer before and after. We serve applicants they cannot yet accept, and we stay with our learners through the fragile months past graduation where placements often fail.

What is the time commitment?

10 to 15 hours per week for 16 weeks of active program, then a lighter touch of 3 to 5 hours per week during placement and the sustained-income phase. Total horizon is nine months from enrollment to income verification.

Is the program in person or online?

Phase 1 is hybrid. West Bank learners attend in-person sessions in Ramallah or Nablus twice per week. Gaza learners participate fully online with connectivity stipends. Later phases move to a majority in-person model as ground conditions and resources allow.

What kind of jobs do learners aim for?

Remote entry-level roles that pay $300 or more per month and do not require a CS degree. Customer support, virtual assistance, data annotation lead, Arabic content operations, sales development, junior bookkeeping. Selection is based on live employer demand, not on what sounds appealing.

Step 1 of 7 · About you

Let's start with the basics.

Nothing here decides your fit. It just helps your coordinator meet you where you are.

Step 2 of 7 · English reading

Read this. Then answer three questions.

This shows us where your English is now — not to judge, but to place you in the right group.

Read carefully

Sara joined a remote customer support team six months ago. She works with clients across three time zones, so she starts her day at 9 AM and finishes around 5 PM local time.

Her manager, Alex, told her that written communication is the most important skill in this job. Customers cannot see her face or hear her voice, so every message must be clear and friendly.

Last week, Sara received a difficult message from an angry customer. Instead of replying immediately, she took ten minutes to draft a careful response. Her manager later told her: "That was exactly right. When someone is upset, a slow answer beats a fast one."

Step 3 of 7 · English writing

Write a short message.

Something a remote worker actually does. Take your time. Don't worry about being perfect.

4–6 sentences is fine. Write in English.
Not comfortable Very comfortable
3 / 5
Step 4 of 7 · Digital literacy

Which tools have you actually used?

"Used" means more than heard of. Even briefly counts. Tick everything you've spent real time with.

Step 5 of 7 · Practical readiness

Setup and availability.

Honest answers here are how we build a plan that fits your real life.

Include time for learning, practice, and community.

Step 6 of 7 · Motivation

Why remote income?

The last one. What you write here goes to your coordinator.

Two or three sentences. Write in English if you can, Arabic is fine too.
Step 7 of 7 · Review

One look before we build your plan.

This is what we captured. Fix anything, then generate your personalized plan.
